Spring Eggs-travaganza

March 26, 2018

Hi Families!

I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend so far!

Classroom Updates:

  • Please remember to send in a small bottle of clear or glitter glue on Monday (if you are able. Please don't make a special trip!)

  • Friday is our Easter party/egg hunt! I have a tentative "schedule" that I will need your input on. A few families have mentioned that they can't stay the whole time or have something they need to step away and do during the party. Which is understandable! So I was thinking that we have our egg hunt in the morning so anyone that can't stay for long has the chance to at least be a part of the most exciting part! In order for this to happen I will need anyone that is contributing eggs for hunting to drop off your eggs on Wednesday. That way I can come in early Friday and hide them on the playground. Another option is we have the hunt at 11:00 and parents volunteer to hide eggs on the playground during the party. I’m not sure if everyone can make it if we have the hunt at 11:00.  For now, I will plan for it to be an early morning event unless we hear from families with a different preference. Either option is doable!

  • Friday is also our friend E's last day :(  I would love to do a little celebration for him. We can do this at 11:00 on the playground (another reason I was thinking an early egg hunt) where his friends surprise him with a little gathering at the picnic tables. We can do a special snack and the kiddos can make sure they get a chance to say bye to their friend.

  • Thank you to Ashley for supplying this week's playdough! The kids enjoyed the lemon scented playdough and the mixture of cornstarch and conditioner! The cornstarch and conditioner combination gave our St. Patrick's Day playdough some competition! If you still want to get in on the fun please feel free to sign up for our playdough/sensory experience challenge! There are still some dates available.

What's Happening This Week:

This week we will be doing some Easter related activities! We will be making “friendship slime” which we will take home in plastic eggs, paint using plastic eggs, make musical egg shakers, dye some eggs, make some shaving cream art, participate in a Peeps taste test (they are all gross in my opinion), and make some egg shell art.

Friday is our Easter party! Please feel free to stay and participate in the fun (siblings are welcome!) I will place a sign up sheet on our classroom door so families can sign up if they would like to bring a snack for our party. Please also note if you are bringing eggs for hunting. I just want to get an idea of how many eggs we will have for the kiddos.

That's it for now! Enjoy the rest of your weekend families and I will see you tomorrow.
