I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend! Again, it has flown by for us.
Last week we made our own bird houses (thank you for bringing in your recyclable materials!) The kids seemed to really enjoy turning their trash into something beautiful! We also made our own pancakes (along with bacon!) which was a wonderful hit. (I didn’t take nearly enough pictures of the events this past week and I’m so bummed!)
This week we will read Duck! Rabbit! and It Looked Like Spilt Milk. Both are favorites of mine and are adorable books about finding shapes in clouds. We will create some cloud art as well as a few cloud science experiments. We will explore cloud dough by making our own batches in class!
Wednesday is the last day we will have a volunteer in our class. Our Madison House volunteers have been amazing and we are so fortunate to have had them in our class this year. Hallie is our Wednesday volunteer and has been with us all year. I would like to throw a little thank you party for her on Wednesday. I would like to make her a cake and just wanted to make sure everyone would be ok with this. I will have the kiddos make a thank you card and we can present that to her on Wednesday as well. As always, you are welcome to stay for our celebration (and food! I feel like I’m always finding reasons to have food at school!)
Friday is parent teacher conferences. I have had a few families express interest in a conference, however, most of the day remains available. Please let me know if you would like to meet!
