Last week we had a short week but still a wonderful time together! Monday we made "clouds" in our microwave and the kids loved watching our Ivory soap expand in the microwave. Afterwards we were able to play with our "clouds" and the kids really enjoyed that. Wednesday we painted clouds using puffy paint. The kiddos made their own puffy paint out of shaving cream, glue and glitter. Wednesday was also our Madison House volunteer's last day. We celebrated with chocolate cupcakes. The kids made some frosting in class that was the perfect match for the cupcakes!
This week Jessie has kindly offered to turn our sensory bin into a beach! I am so excited and I know the kids will be too! We will explore sand this week and start talking about the ocean and ocean life.
A few reminders:
Please apply sunblock and/or bug spray prior to drop off. Remember that we can't apply these at school. We will be spending much more time outside in these last few weeks of school.
Also, we will likely be getting pretty messy outside as the weather warms up. Warmer weather means lots of water play! So please pack changes of clothes, update the clothing stash in your child's cubby, or even feel free to put on their swim
clothes as the weather really creeps up!
Wednesday and Friday this week we have teacher candidates coming in to present their lessons. Please feel free to stay to meet these wonderful ladies!
I will send out a few pictures from last week later this evening. See everyone soon!
